How log Can I wear my Daily disposable coloured contact lenses.

How Long Can I Wear My Contact Lenses For?

The length of time you can wear your lenses will depend on the type of lenses you choose to wear and your eyes’ tolerance to them. We recommend that you contact your optometrist to give the best advice on how long you can wear lenses for. If you are not sure, it is better to take them out sooner rather than later so as not to cause any damage or discomfort.

Typically for daily lenses, they are disposed of daily, or when removed. Monthly lenses are cleaned and stored in a saline solution every night for up to two weeks, or a month. For more details have a look through our blog on How to wear contact lenses

Can Contact Lenses Cause Dry Eyes?

Contact lenses are actually very good for your eyes as they protect the cornea from exposure to dust and germs. Contact lenses can, however, sometimes cause dry eyes because of their effect on how tears flow over the eye surface. It is important to have eye drops to hand to lubricate and soothe irritations (but do not share them!)

Can You Sleep in Your Contact Lenses?

Only for some contact lenses! It is important to seek advice from your optician to see whether extended wear lenses are suitable for you. The lenses we currently sell are not intended to sleep in.

What Type of Solutions Should I Use For My Contact Lenses?

The type of solution you choose will depend on your personal preference and the type of lenses you wear. There are multi-purpose solutions for those looking for an all-in-one cleaning and storing product. Some people will choose to use a contact lens cleaning solution and use a different saline solution for rinsing.

Our lenses are daily disposable lenses, so you can simply dispose of them after each use. Making it ideal for occasional wear or busy lifestyles.

Can I Wear Make Up When I wear My Contact Lenses?

Absolutely! You can wear makeup while wearing contact lenses. If you are looking for a solution that will not affect your mascara or eyeliner it might be better to use daily disposable lenses.

What Is The Difference Between Monthly and Daily Disposable Contact Lenses?

The most significant difference is the price. Daily disposable contacts are typically a bit more expensive, but you can dispose of them after each use and do not have to worry about disinfecting or storing the product after each use.

How Can I Tell If My Contact Lenses Are Inside Out?

You can tell if your contact lenses are inside out by the position of the coloured part. A circle on an outside corner means that the lens is inside-out.

You can also tell by holding the lens with your index finger, if the lens is inside out, the sides of the lens will look slightly ‘rolled’.

Can I Lose A Contact Lens In The Back Of My Eye?

It is almost impossible for a contact lens to get trapped behind the eyes. If you have an uncomfortable sensation or if something seems to be obstructing your vision when wearing contacts, visit the doctor immediately.

How Do I Store My Contact Lenses?

Monthly contact lenses should be stored in a clean contact lens case filled with fresh contact lens solutions. They should not come into direct contact with the lid of the storage container or each other, as this can result in bacterial growth and damage to your eyes. It is always best to wash hands before handling contacts too!

For daily contact lenses, you can dispose of them after each use. It is always important to store contact lenses in a cool and dry area and away from direct sunlight.
